Topographies

Examining the topography of the natural world, this body of work reflects on the nature of time and the growth and erosion of the earth in a constant state of flux. I am interested in the metamorphosis of these changing states, where weather and natural phenomena can reveal layers of history embedded within material, and even the hardest of surfaces can be etched and worn with the passing of time.

Exhibited at Galerie Marzee, Nijmegen, Netherlands; Artistar Jewels in Milan, Italy; First Site Gallery in Melbourne, Australia as part of Radiant Pavilion Jewellery and Object Biennial; Joya Barcelona Art Fair in Spain and Alliages Gallery in Lille, France. The neckpiece ‘Stone #1’ was shortlisted as a finalist in the Alliages Legacy Award in 2016, where it was later acquired for the permanent collection by Museum Espace Solidor in Cagnes-sur-Mer, France.
