About Aurelia

Aurelia Yeomans is the independent jewellery designer and founder of her brand of unique wedding, engagement and contemporary fine jewellery. She is a qualified jeweller, artist and designer, crafting bold and delicate pieces with a deft and skilful hand. Aurelia began her technical training in jewellery, metalsmithing and design at the Arenhaus College in Schwäbisch Gmünd – a renowned epicentre for the traditional craft of goldsmithing in southern Germany – before returning to Melbourne to complete a BA with Honours in Fine Art at Melbourne’s RMIT University. Upon graduating with First Class Honours in 2015, her work received widespread international interest and exposure that saw her exhibit extensively throughout Australia, Europe and the USA; paving the way for the launch of her fine jewellery brand in 2018.

In 2016, Aurelia embarked on a 3-month residency in Iceland and Germany which built on the research and development of her work and sparked the ideas leading to her Crystallised collection. In the same year she was chosen as a finalist for the Alliages Legacy Award (Lille, France). In 2017 Aurelia was shortlisted and ranked in the top 3 for the MECCA M-Power Scholarship and Entrepreneurship Award for acclaimed women in business and the arts. She was also a finalist for the prestigious Mari Funaki Award for Contemporary Jewellery in 2018, and in the same year Aurelia worked on a significant commission completing her first major collection for the National Gallery of Victoria. Aurelia’s works have been published in numerous catalogues and magazines and are in both public and private collections in Europe and Australia.
